In 2016, ISSH was validated as a higher education institution, with its Master’s-level Social Studies programme recognized at Level 7 of the European Qualifications Framework (EQF). In 2026, the programme received IAC/EADI accreditation from the International Accreditation Council for Global Development Studies and Research.
